SBD Cares
SBD Cares [501(c)(3)] is a nonprofit organization affiliated with San Bernardino International Airport (SBD), dedicated to strengthening the inland region through community engagement, education and workforce development . SBD Cares works alongside local partners to improve quality of life throughout the Inland Empire.
Community Support
SBD Cares partners with schools, nonprofits, and civic groups to address community needs through health, wellness, safety, outreach, and engagement initiatives that create lasting local impact.
Education & Youth Engagement
We invest in the next generation through programs that inspire learning, support academic achievement, and connect students with new opportunities. Through scholarships, educational support, and STEM and aviation-focused learning experiences, we help empower future leaders to reach their full potential.
Workforce Development

Leaders in Energy Summit
The annual Leaders in Energy Summit is a signature SBD Cares event focused on innovation, sustainability, and the future of energy and infrastructure in aviation and beyond. The Summit attracts leaders from government, industry, education, and the community to explore emerging technologies, share insights, and foster partnerships that support responsible growth.
The event highlights San Bernardino International Airport’s role in advancing energy solutions and economic development while reinforcing SBD Cares’ mission of community investment and education.

SBD Cares Scholarship Program
Funds raised during the 2026 Leaders in Energy Summit allowed SBD Cares to present a scholarship in the amount of $10,000 to San Bernardino Valley College to support students enrolled in aviation related courses.
SBIA, Inc, (DBA, SBD Cares) is a corporation formed for the purpose of lessening governmental burdens by providing assistance to the San Bernardino International Airport Authority (the “Authority”) in its redevelopment efforts to promote economic development and eliminate blighting influence at the former Norton Air Force Base within the City of San Bernardino, but only to the extent that such purpose constitutes exclusively charitable, scientific and educational purposes within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3), 170(c)(2)(B), 2055(a)(2) and 2522(a)(2) of the Code.
